Jamestown, Virginia
Jamestown is the oldest settlement of white people in North America. They arrived there in the early 16th century.

The experience of canvassing
"The canvassing work, properly conducted, is a missionary work of the highest order, and it is as good and successful a method as can be emplyed for placing before the people the important truths for this time." Ellen White, Colporter Ministry p. 6
"If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the public, thus leading them to search the Scriptures." ibid p. 7
It has been a privilege to do the canvassing work. We are a group of about 20 young people who go from door to door and present to them book about the good news the gospel."If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the public, thus leading them to search the Scriptures." ibid p. 7
By God´s grace He allowed me to have powerful experiences and divine appointments!
Many times I had the opportunity to pray with people when they needed it most.
Just yesterday I had the opportunity to share this with a man who was struggling with addiction to alcohol: Many are inquiring, "How am I to make the surrender of myself to God?" You desire to give yourself to Him, but you are weak in moral power, in slavery to doubt, and controlled by the habits of your life of sin. Your promises and resolutions are like ropes of sand. You cannot control your thoughts, your impulses, your affections. The knowledge of your broken promises and forfeited pledges weakens your confidence in your own sincerity, and causes you to feel that God cannot accept you; but you need not despair. What you need to understand is the true force of the will. This is the governing power in the nature of man, the power of decision, or of choice. Everything depends on the right action of the will. The power of choice God has given to men; it is theirs to exercise. You cannot change your heart, you cannot of yourself give to God its affections; but you can choose to serve Him. You can give Him your will; He will then work in you to will and to do according to His good pleasure. Thus your whole nature will be brought under the control of the Spirit of Christ; your affections will be centered upon Him, your thoughts will be in harmony with Him. Ellen White, Steps to Christ p. 47
Just one other experience I want to tell here. I came to this door and a lady opened and so I showed her the books. She was especially interested in the "Desire of Ages" as I shared with her how this book helped me to see more of the love of Christ for me personally. I asked her if I could pray with her and she agreed. While standing with her and her children in a circle I had a simple prayer to our God. She was so happy to get that book and told me then that she had prayed just the night before longing and realizing that she needed a closer walk with God and now today, she said, you come along. God is truly setting up divine appointments and I am so thankful to God to be taught more in serving Him
When the redeemed stand before God, precious souls will respond to their names who are there because of the faithful, patient efforts put forth in their behalf, the entreaties and earnest persuasions to flee to the Stronghold. Thus those who in this world have been laborers together with God will receive their reward. T8 196,197
